The Knights of Columbus is the main sponsor of the annual parish picnic and Mass in the Park for St. Mary Church. The 2011 picnic will be held Sunday, July 24 at Deicke Park in Huntley. The parish picnic and Mass in the Park have become a beloved tradition at St. Mary. It's a great way to get to know some of your fellow parishoners, and have fun and a great meal besides. Mass in the Park (and at the church) begin at noon. The picnic begins immediately after Mass, and includes delicious roast pork, drinks, corn on the cob, and ice cream. Paper goods and silverware also are provided. Each family is asked to bring a dish to pass. After lunch, there will be games for the kids, as well as a raffle and bingo for adults. If your last name begins with A-N, please bring a COLD side dish. If your last name begins with M-Z, please bring a COLD dessert. Tickets are on sale in the parish office and after Mass. Ticket prices are: Adults (age 13+): $12 Kids (ages 6-12): $5 Under 6: Free Family (two adults and two or more kids ages 6-12): $34 Volunteers are needed.
